Are you a fan of seamless 3D modeling between Revit and SketchUp? If so, you're in for a treat! In the latest update, we're thrilled to announce a whopping 20x speed increase for larger models when importing a Revit model into SketchUp. But that's not all – we've also added a nifty warning dialog to let you know if the export from Revit fails, complete with the error reason. Let's dive into the details of these fantastic enhancements and some bug fixes that make your modeling experience even smoother.

FEATURES

20x Speed Increase for Larger Models

We understand that working with larger models can be a bit of a drag, especially when it comes to importing them into SketchUp. But fear not, because we've supercharged this process. With our latest update, you can now enjoy a whopping 20x speed boost when importing those hefty Revit models. Say goodbye to those lengthy waits and hello to a more efficient workflow!

Enhanced Error Handling with Warning Dialogs

Nobody likes surprises, especially when you're in the middle of an important project. That's why we've introduced a new warning dialog. If, for some reason, the export from Revit fails, you'll be promptly notified with a detailed error reason. This means you can quickly identify and address any issues, ensuring a smoother modeling experience.

BUG FIXES

Export from Revit to SketchUp Stability

We've tackled some pesky stability issues when exporting your Revit creations into SketchUp. You can now expect a more reliable and error-free export process.

Fixed DXF and OBJ Family Host Level Bug

In the past, there was a frustrating bug that prevented changes to DXF and OBJ based family host levels. We've squashed that bug, so you can now modify these levels without any hassle.

Resolved Host Level Jump Bug

Ever experienced a situation where hosted elements jumped to a level further below due to rounding issues? Those days are behind you now, as we've fixed this bug, providing you with a smoother modeling experience.

Material Mapping Stability for DXF Families

Working with materials is a crucial aspect of 3D modeling. We've improved the stability of material mapping from SketchUp to Revit for DXF families, ensuring that your materials are accurately represented.

Fixed Mapped Materials Bug

Some users encountered an issue where mapped materials weren't applied to DXF families in Revit. We've addressed this bug, so your mapped materials will now behave as expected.

Case Insensitivity for Material Mappings

We've made material mappings more user-friendly by allowing them to be case-insensitive. This means you won't have to worry about matching capitalization perfectly, making your workflow smoother.

Whitespace Material Mapping Issue Resolved

Materials in SketchUp with white spaces will now map onto Revit materials seamlessly, even if the latter cannot have white spaces. No more headaches over naming conventions!

With these exciting speed enhancements and bug fixes, your journey from Revit to SketchUp is about to get even more enjoyable and efficient. We're committed to providing you with a seamless 3D modeling experience, and this update is just one step in that direction. Happy modeling!
